Energy Bites!

By: Kyra Arsenault

Hi everyone! Spring is approaching! I hope you're all surviving the dreary winter months and getting whatever Vitamin D you can soak in from the sun. Has anyone else's mental health been improving the later it's been light out?

With the spring semester, I've been on the go more, so I wanted to share with you one of my favorite recipes. If you've been looking for the perfect inexpensive, easy to pack snack, that isn't overwhelming to make and you'll actually WANT to eat because it's delicious, your search is over.

These peanut butter chocolate chip energy bites are an excellent source of protein, fat, and carbohydrates… and are delectable. It's a convenient on the go snack in all scenarios, and an ideal source of fuel if you're rushing to your next destination after having engaged in joyful movement. If you're someone (like me) who struggles to pack food, this recipe is a LIFE saver.

Ingredients:

Bananas - 2 mashed

Quick oats - 2 Cups

Honey - 4 Tbsps

Chocolate chips - ¼  Cup

Peanut butter - 1 Cup

Directions:

All you need to do is mash the bananas, mix in oats, honey, peanut butter, and at the end, chocolate chips (always be generous with the chocolate chip quantity). Once mixed together, you can roll them up into small golf-ball sized balls and refrigerate! They hold together well and contain a plethora of nutrition.

Happy eating!
